Former Manchester United midfielder Juan Sebastian Veron has confirmed that he has turned down an offer from Manchester City.
The 34-year-old Argentine midfielder has also played for Chelsea. Currently he is playing for Estudiantes. He was awarded as South American Player of the Year last year.
Veron has scored 7 goals in 51 appearances for Manchester United. Veron has already played under Roberto Mancini, current City manger, during his career with Internazionale from 2004 to 2006.
He said “It's not a fact of money. First of all is the family, and second, I have made a decision and I want to respect it, that is what I feel and Estudiantes is the place where I feel comfortable.”
