Man Utd v Wigan preview

This will be the last game in this year for Manchester United and Wigan. It can be an easy fixture for the Red Devils. These two teams have played ten times against each other, and the result has remained every time. Guess what? Obviously United has won on every occasion.

The reverse fixture of this game was in August and United won it 5-0. This game brought 100th goal for Rooney and Michael Owen started his account of scoring.

This time there are no fresh injuries to United players. The are in good mood with a win at Hull.Rooney factor worked in that game but still a replacement for Ronaldo is essential. This transfer window is going to be crucial for the Red Devils.

Probable Team

Kuszczak
Rafael Brown Vidic Evra
Valencia Fletcher Scholes Giggs
Berbatov Rooney

  1. Onkar Said,

Yeah... It can turn out to be the easy outing but, we can't take them for granted. I mean even against Villa we had 26 yrs unbeaten run at OT which we lost recently. Add to that an uncomfortable outing against Hull City even though we won it. So, I am not sure it will as easy as one may think but, yeah I agree we should ideally win it. But, strange things do happen in football...
As far as team is concerned I think there should be one change from what you have predicted and that will be Giggs. After putting in 90 mins over the week end I don't expect him to start. Personally I would like to see Obertan but, I think JS Park may start. And as far MF I would like to Ando but, yeah probably Ginger Ninja will start as well....

  2. Thats right that we lost at OT ...but my dear friend don't forget it was Villa ans we were too cautious in that game. I simply can't understand why Sir Alex is not going into real attacking mode, moreover we need a replacement for CR. You may have remember that few years ago in 2006-07 and 2007-08 we were having results like 4-0, 401, 3-0 againts teams like Villa, Everton and Spurs...but now we are struggling against Fulham and Villa, may be Man City too

  3. Onkar,

Thats precisously why I said that a match against WIGAN may not be as easy as it may sound. And when we are loosing ourt records for fun i.e. CL hpme unbeaten record, Villa OT record having a record of 10 wins in 10 against WIGAN doesn't really make us automatic winner anymore does it??? We are no longer as good as we used to be once.
